American Industrial is a manufacturer of precision metal stamping and assembly solutions. We provide short-run and custom metal stamping services for industrial manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers, including tool and die engineering services and rapid prototyping of metal parts. Learn more about our metal services and production methods below.
Our Custom Metal Services
At American Industrial, our metal stamping abilities allow us to deliver metal parts without requiring high minimum order quantities.
Compound Die Stamping
Compound die stamping allows us to complete multiple cuts, punches, or bends in one stroke. We maintain a tool room equipped with CNC vertical mills and wire EDM technology to accelerate the initial stamping phases.
Progressive Die Stamping
Progressive die stamping eliminates the need to move parts between different machines, dramatically shortening lead times. We have advanced Komatsu, Bliss, and Federal presses that allow us to complete complex or intricate metal stamping operations with repeatable accuracy.
Prototyping and Small Batches
Transitioning from an initial concept to a physical part requires dedicated engineering support. At American Industrial, we execute rapid prototyping of metal parts to test component viability before full mass production begins. Our technicians also specialize in custom metal stamping for small batches, producing complex shapes while maintaining tight tolerances.
Custom Fabrication
Our machining centers allow us to form complex metal shapes as part of our services. We supplement our stamping operations with laser cutting via a VyTek FiberCAB 44 Laser System capable of consistently holding tight tolerances. We also execute necessary secondary operations, including welding, tapping, drilling, grinding, and heat treating.
Materials We Work With
Selecting the correct raw material dictates the final mechanical strength of the component. We process multiple alloys for power plants, mining, cement facilities, and other operations:
- Steel. We process stainless, carbon, galvanized, and hot or cold-rolled steel.
- Non-ferrous metals. Our machinists work to shape aluminum, brass, copper, and bronze.
- Specialty alloys. We can stamp materials like spring steel and alloy steel.
Flexible, Customer-Oriented Services
We keep all production inside the United States to protect customer designs and deliver shorter lead times. Our facility is certified to follow the ISO 9001:2015 standard. Our quality assurance department utilizes Micro-Vu Matrix optical camera systems and Scherr Tumico optical comparators to verify exact dimensional accuracy before shipment.
