Everyone at American Industrial Company was excited about this year’s National Manufacturing Day. Held all across the U.S. on October 4, MFG Day is a celebration of everything that is unique about America’s manufacturers. According to their website, MFG Day was created to, “…address common misperceptions about manufacturing by giving manufactures an opportunity to open their door and show, in a coordinated effort what manufacturing is – and what it isn’t.”
This incredibly important effort was made possible thanks to some of America’s leading manufacturing groups including:
- FMA (Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International)
- NAM (National Association of Manufacturers)
- MEP (Manufacturing Extension Partnership)
- Manufacturing Institute
- ISM (Industrial Strength Marketing)
- Science Channel
This year’s Manufacturing Day could not come at a better time. 2013 has been an outstanding year for America’s manufacturers. Just last month, a number of different manufacturing indicators have been on the upswing including the ISM manufacturing index which rose to a 2-year high of 56.4, and a report that says worker productivity is up 2.3%.
At American Industrial, we look forward to showing off our facilities to anyone who wants to learn more about how we became leaders in the manufacturing of precision metal stamping and assemblies. To learn more how American Industrial celebrated the MFG Day 2013, please contact us today.
