American-Owned and -Operated Business
Our family-owned and -operated company has become a leader in custom short run metal stampings and U.S. production since our founding in 1981. Conveniently located in the Chicagoland area within driving distance of O’Hare airport, AIC’s modern 25,000-square-foot facility and operations fully conform to ISO 9001:2015 standards. Our turnkey services fulfill our clients’ precision metal stamping needs from start to finish, as the AIC team will work closely with you from the design and prototyping stages through small- or large-scale production. We aim to help streamline the supply chains of domestic as well as international customers.
Our Process
Our team can create a wide array of metal stamped components, ranging from brackets and bolts to connectors and fasteners. During the design phase, AIC’s experienced engineers develop the ideal tooling for a customer’s product using a combination of computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software. We place the highest priority on precision, ensuring tens or even hundreds of stamped parts will form exactly as intended during manufacturing. In addition to design, we also offer prototyping services.
As we proceed to production, our efforts during the design process enable us to quickly and efficiently produce identical, repeatable parts in mass quantities. To begin, we place sheets of raw material into a stamping press, fabricating the material in accordance with the original design. Common material options are aluminum, brass, and copper, as well as stainless, hot and cold rolled, alloy, and galvanized steel.
The metal stamping process gives our customers options for scaling production and allows us to maximize process efficiency. Throughout production, we can utilize numerous metal fabrication techniques, including:
- Stamping
- Punching
- Stretching
- Bending
- Curling
- Embossing
- Assembly
